When I think back to how my journey with PanScience Innovations began, it feels both spontaneous and deliberate at the same time. During my summer break this year, I decided it was time to move beyond classroom learning and gain some real-world experience. While exploring opportunities online, I came across an opening for a Business Development role at PSI. The description instantly caught my attention because it perfectly combined my interests in business, technology, and innovation. I remember taking my time to fill out the application carefully, reflecting on what I truly wanted to learn from the experience. A few days later, I got a call from Sneha for an interview, which, funnily enough, happened while I was standing at a metro station. Despite the background noise and chaos, I gave it my best shot, and that call ended up marking the start of an incredibly enriching journey.
At PSI, I work as part of the Business Development and Strategic Outreach team, where I focus on identifying collaboration opportunities, building partnerships, and contributing to communication strategies. What excites me most about this role is its intersection with deep tech and AI, areas that are shaping the future across industries. My days usually start with follow-ups and task tracking, something I’ve come to value deeply because it’s taught me how consistency and attention to detail can truly make a difference. I also work on outreach campaigns, drafting and refining communication for potential partners and stakeholders. Over time, I’ve started assisting new interns with their outreach tasks and guiding them through tools like Apollo, which has helped me strengthen my own understanding while helping others learn.
A big part of my learning also comes from observing and participating in business meetings with my mentor, Tanisha. Watching her lead client discussions and understanding how ideas are turned into real collaborations has been one of the most insightful aspects of this internship. Balancing work with my final year of college hasn’t been easy, but I’ve learned that writing down and prioritizing my daily tasks helps me stay focused. The environment at PSI is fast-paced and dynamic, everyone takes initiative and contributes across roles. I also get the chance to explore marketing and PR related work, which allows me to tap into my creative side while applying strategic thinking.
One of the most rewarding parts of this experience has been stepping out of my comfort zone. As someone who was initially introverted, interacting with professionals and handling multiple responsibilities felt challenging, but the welcoming and collaborative culture here made it easier. Everyone, regardless of their role, is approachable and ready to help. The sense of trust and accountability I’ve been given has helped me grow not just as an intern but as a professional.
If I had to sum up my biggest takeaway, it would be this: think smart, not just hard. Internships aren’t about checking off tasks but about being curious, analytical, and thoughtful in everything you do. PSI has taught me the value of being disciplined, respectful, and proactive, and that every small project is a chance to learn something new. Working here has expanded my perspective, introduced me to people from diverse fields, and helped me discover what truly excites me professionally. My journey at PanScience Innovations has been strategic, collaborative, and fast-paced, an experience that gave me not just knowledge but confidence, clarity, and a deeper sense of purpose.
