A Journey of Growth and Leadership at PanScience Innovations

Ibrahim Khan | Product Manager

When I look back at my journey with PanScience Innovations, it feels less like a career path and more like a transformation. From being a student at IIT Delhi to becoming a Product Manager at Parchaa, this journey has been one of constant learning and evolution.

It all started in my third year of college when I first came across PanScience. I was already known in college for my design work from logos and posters to UI layouts, so I assumed it would just be another freelance assignment. But the moment I walked into the PSI office at SDA, I realized it would be something much more meaningful.

What began as a single design project soon evolved into a deeper collaboration. I joined as a designer and started working on a range of projects that challenged my creativity and discipline. My first major assignment was designing the website for Investor Base. It was the first time I experienced the balance between aesthetics and corporate functionality. The goal wasn’t just to make something visually appealing but to build something simple, structured, and efficient. Gradually, I went on to design websites for Predco, Choice, and Parchaa, each one teaching me something new about user flow and the importance of clarity in design.

Over time, my curiosity started to extend beyond design. I didn’t just want to make things look good, I wanted to understand how they worked and how users interacted with them. That interest led me toward the product side of PSI. With guidance from my mentors, I began learning about data analytics, user behavior, and digital product functionality. Tools like Google Analytics and Mixpanel helped me see design from a new perspective, through numbers and user insights. It was fascinating to realize that behind every interface was a story told through data.

As PSI grew, so did my role. With encouragement from Swapnil sir, I transitioned from being a designer to taking on product responsibilities. I started collaborating directly with clients, handling feedback, and ensuring that our products aligned with both user needs and business goals. Slowly, I moved from just executing tasks to contributing to strategy and decision-making. Earlier, I was focused on finishing what was assigned, now, I was thinking about how each decision could shape the overall product vision. That shift from execution to ownership completely changed the way I worked.

One of the most memorable projects I’ve worked on at PSI was with DENSO under Indika. Alongside my teammates, Priyansh and Kunal, I developed an interactive prototype in just two to three days, something that usually takes weeks. Watching it get featured in their presentation and receiving positive feedback was an incredibly proud moment. It wasn’t just about speed or design; it was about building something impactful and reliable in a short time frame.

Working at PSI also taught me the value of flexibility. Early on, I used to strictly follow the standard design processes, detailed research, multiple iterations, and set workflows. But as I got more involved in fast-paced projects, I learned that adaptability often matters more than rigid structure. In a company like PSI, where innovation moves quickly, being able to adjust and prioritize impact over perfection has been one of the most important lessons.

If I could share one piece of advice with anyone starting out, it would be to define your version of success early. Know exactly what you want to achieve, whether it’s improving your skills, creating impact, or gaining clarity about your path. That direction gives purpose to your efforts. And never hesitate to explore beyond your immediate role. Dive into new areas, AI, automation, or even back-end development, because the more you explore, the more you grow. Your potential is only limited by your willingness to step outside your comfort zone.

Looking ahead, my focus is on taking Parchaa to the next level, scaling it faster and making it stronger. I want to continue driving its growth, ensuring that every small improvement contributes to a larger vision. PSI, for me, has never just been a workplace; it’s been a community of curious, driven, and like-minded people who believe in building meaningful things together.

From being a student at IIT Delhi to becoming a Product Manager and Business Head at PanScience Innovations, this journey has been one of constant learning and evolution. It has taught me that growth rarely comes from comfort, it comes from curiosity, persistence, and the courage to take ownership. And that’s what continues to define my journey with PSI, a space where I’ve grown not just as a professional, but as a creator and a leader.

Recognition that Matters.
